Grassroots Support Creates Victories
Organizing your neighbors is as simple as talking to your friend.
The first step to ensure your voice is heard on Election Day, May 2, is to register to vote. It's as simple as completing a form and submitting it to the local Registrar of Voters.
Everyone has a role to play in Paul's campaign. Yours could be to simply talk to your neighbors on your street as you walk your dog, enjoy a spring afternoon or attend a community meeting. Grassroots support is essential to Paul's victory and the more support that is demonstrated by you the greater the effect on Election Day.
First, we'd like to know we can count on you to organize your neighbors. Please fill out the Count on Me form. We'll keep in touch and be sure you receive credit for your efforts. Always be sure to report any new supporters you recruit by contacting the campaign.
We've tried to make it even easier for you by providing campaign literature that you can print right from your home computer and use anytime. Of course, any time you want printed campaign literature, don't hesitate to contact us so we can deliver some to you.
Use the literature to start a conversation, create buzz at your next civic association meeting, or spread the word around your neighborhood and among members of the organizations to which you belong.
Here are some ideas you can use to organize your neighbors.
- Hand out flyers to your neighbors or leaflet homes on the streets around your home. Paul cares about Alexandria's environment so be careful to not allow the flyers to be blown to the ground and pick up and discard any that do.
- Ask local businesses to place flyers on their counter and a sign in their window.
- Hand out flyers at your next neighborhood or civic association meeting.
- Share flyers with others at the next school activity.
- Have flyers handy during your commute on public transportation.
