Paul is fortunate to have a long list of supporters, but it can be even more effective if voters know why they support him. We invite you to write a letter to the editor to the local Alexandria media about why you support Paul.

How to improve your chances your letter-to-the-editor will be published

While there is no formula there is a way to improve your chances of being published. Here are some tips:

Be concise - Editors don't have a lot of space and appreciate writers who state their point in a few words, less than 200 words as a guide.
Focus on one issue - select the most important aspect of a given topic to address to forcefully state your opinion. That will make it easier to focus readers on your position and use supporting points to persuade.
Respond while it's hot - writing in response to articles or a debate currently underway will make your letter more relevant.
Don't send attachments via email - most papers won't open them so just include your letter in the body of the email message.
