Make Your Voice Heard
Nothing speaks louder than citizen endorsements of Paul's campaign
Paul is fortunate to have a long list of supporters, but it can be even more effective if voters know why they support him. We invite you to write a letter to the editor to the local Alexandria media about why you support Paul.
Contact us if you want help, otherwise you'll find everything you need on this page to write a letter to the editor.
How to improve your chances your letter-to-the-editor will be published
While there is no formula there is a way to improve your chances of being published. Here are some tips:
- Be concise - Editors don't have a lot of space and appreciate writers who state their point in a few words, less than 200 words as a guide.
- Focus on one issue - select the most important aspect of a given topic to address to forcefully state your opinion. That will make it easier to focus readers on your position and use supporting points to persuade.
- Respond while it's hot - writing in response to articles or a debate currently underway will make your letter more relevant.
- Don't send attachments via email - most papers won't open them so just include your letter in the body of the email message.
